Jaguar has confirmed that it will move a high-end hybrid supercar into production in the near future. The C-X75 was first seen at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show as a concept car.
Jaguar states that the basic exterior of the car will remain unchanged from the auto show. The powerhouse will consist of a small, highly boosted gasoline engine that is supplemented by two electric motors. The car will feature a carbon fiber chassis and will rocket from 0-60 in 3 seconds, 0-100 will take forever, nearly 6 full seconds. The car will have a top speed of 200 mph. What else would you expect from Jaguar and the Formula One builder Williams F1 that they are partnering with for the project?
The company only plans to build 250 of the C-X75′s. Each will cost over one million in pocket change. The car is in the development stage and is expected to take the normal few years that every other development model does.
